Bella Limped into BDR but Bounced Out

Posted 8 December, 2016

Wendy and Clark Dodd's Bella is an 8 year old (meth) lab (so named by her veterinarian because of her poor conformation from birth) who had three knee surgeries. The numerous knees surgeries and her poor conformation put a lot of strain on her shoulders and led to a significant limp. Wendy says, "We attempted a few cortisone shots that helped for a while, but we were concerned about the prolonged effects of more cortisone shots."
She reports, "Now that we're taking Bella to Black Dog Rehab, she bounces with excitement when we hit the Black Dog Rehab block. We visit about every 6 weeks for a tune up. Bella is a nature nut and loves hiking, swimming and hunting for anything she can. She can do this now pain free.

"Before we found Darcy, we really were starting to think our middle aged lab wasn't going to be able to do anything she loved anymore but eat. Now she can do all the things she - and we - love!"
